Easy Summer Appetizer: Watermelon Strawberry Skewer

My younger sister Kay loves to make summer appetizers – or appetizers in general, much more than desserts (that’s more my youngest sister Krisha’s realm). I on the other hand, would rather focus on the main. Haha! Well, you’ve seen Kay’s delicious recipes from making ricotta gnocchi to baked eggs, and here’s another delicious one using watermelons and strawberries! This recipe is so easy to make and assemble, you can make them a few minutes before your event. 

Ingredients: 

  • Watermelon 
  • Strawberry
  • Goat cheese 
  • Basil 
  • Toothpicks
  • Balsamic vinaigrette

I think my favourite fish to eat is salmon… that’s a lie. I love black cod. But I do love salmon very much. It’s such a versatile fish. My dear sister Kay came up with this idea since April is National Grilled Cheese Month. Since we missed the actual day, we decided it was better late than never! You remember Kay from her first guest blog post on the baked eggs

Now, we had a bunch of leftovers from the past week and we decided that we should use them: some left over ham, vegetables, roasted eggplants, and what better way to use those ingredients than putting them in a grilled cheese sandwich.
