I’ve always loved steamed egg dishes. Growing up, my grandma was the master of cooking this ground pork, duck egg, steamed egg dish, that was a favourite for everyone. There’s something about the silky smooth savoury custard like dish that makes my tummy smile.

Massaged Mango Kale Salad

 Summer barbecues, vacation food spoils, sometimes those few months in the summer have the power to throw off our whole diet. One superfood to help get  your system back on track is kale. Kale can have a tendency to taste harsh and raw but I found that massaging the kale with olive oil can really help to tenderize the kale. 

Recipe: Massaged Mango Kale Salad

  • 1 bunch kale 
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 2 tsp honey

Almond & Cranberry Biscotti

 When I was in Italy I had an obsession. Every bakery I walked by, I had to go in and try their biscotti. Almond biscotti, pistachio biscotti, chocolate biscotti, cherry biscotti – you name it, I had it. At one point I think I had about 6 different types of biscotti from 6 different places in my bag. 

I love biscotti and I hope you do too. This is the perfect combination of crunchy and chewy. Hope you enjoy it!

Chickpea Falafels

 Long time no see! I’ve missed you all! I’ve been on hiatus for the last month or so, traversing through Italy, Vienna and Budapest, heading to church retreat to witness my boyfriend being baptized and jetting off again to attend the Calgary Stampede for the first time.
